Groove networks has unveiled an upgraded version of its peer-to-peer tool.

Groove 2.0 boasts more than 200 enhancements, according to the company. It features integration with MS Office applications and new project and meeting management tools.

Groove also announced the availability of its Groove 2.0 tool to small-to-medium size businesses.

The software allows users to exchange and share and to send text, video or voice messages in real time.

Groove Networks was founded by Ray Ozzie, the man behind Lotus Notes. It has received the backing of Microsoft, which recently took a 20 percent stake in the company.
