The couple responsible for producing and distributing the Trojan horse code that was used by three Israeli Private Investigation Firms to gather data against companies in Israel have been indicted but the prosecuter also said that they have reached a plea bargain accord.

From the article:

"There is a plea bargain arrangement with Ruth and Michael Haephrati, but the prosecution usually presents the agreement to the court, and this is what we will do in this case as well," said Attorney Haim Wismonsky, senior deputy to the Tel Aviv District Attorney (Criminal Affairs.)

So how does this play out? The Haephratis get off scott free and go on to write a book about their experiences?  The PI's get off with a slap on the hand and the companies that hired them to spy on their competitors don't even get a day in court? If so, this will have been a very interesting excercise in the way business is carried out in Israel.  Let's continue to hope that justice prevails. The first sign of which will be indictments against executives at companies that hired Private Investigators to spy on competitors.
