Half of affluent households are online

Knowledge Networks/SRI reports that while 34% of online households have broadband connectivity, 49% of those households making $75,000 yearly or more in income have high-speed Internet. The company reports that this past summer, 64% of broadband households reported having shopped online in the past 60 days whereas just 42% of their dial-up households had done the same.
