Looking like a cross between an old school View-Master toy and underwater binoculars (if there is such a thing), the 360-degree handheld viewer offers "a jaw-dropping 3D" experience. That might be a bit far-fetched (look at the darn thing), but it seems like a fun enough toy for kids to use with their parents' iPhones and iPods.
Of course, one might be wondering about content that would render this 3D accessory necessary. To answer the call, Hasbro is launching seven free, 3D apps for users of all ages. The content ranges from basic 3D movie trailers and a puzzle game underwater to some more exciting stuff like a 360-degree shooter game and a racing game that takes place in underground tunnels.
Set to retail for $34.99 in either black or white, the Hasbro My3D will debut at Target stores exclusively on April 3, followed by a roll out to other retailers nationwide in June.
