Here's how to do VoIP on your Nintendo DS

On the GBAtemp Forum, user samuelv has figured out a way to turn his homebrew application into a SIP phone on the Nintendo DS platform.

Here's how:

First, you will need DLDI(Dynamically Linked Device Interface) Patching. Learn more here.

Once that's enabled:

  • Download from the Download Now link towrd the bottom of this page.
  • Uncompress zip files in the filesystem root of your memory card.
  • You must have directory: svsip.
  • In this, directory you must define parameters of your SIP account.
  • Be careful to check your number before calling, the keyboard doesn't always work correctly.
  • Press 'A' to quit application.
