Om thinks that Web site ratings service StumbleUpon- which supplies users with a toolbar (above) from which they can rate websites- could be integrated with Skype.

Impetus for this could occur if, as has been widely reported, eBay purchases StumbleUpon, and then looks for ways to integrate the site into its ecosystem the way it is doing with Skype and PayPal.

One way eBay might go about this is to incorporate a SkypeMe  button as an icon inside the StumbleUpon toolbar.

That way, if users who have recommended various websites want to contact  each other, all they would need to do would be to click on the icon.

Another way to integrate Skype with StumbleUpon would be to offer SkypeMe icons within user profiles. You click on a user profile, and if they have chosen to include a SkypeMe, you could initiate and IM or a call by clicking on the icon in the profile.
