Hewlett-Packard has introduced three new digital cameras and new photo-quality color inkjet printers, including a portable printer for snapshots on the go. The Photosmart 318 camera, which sells for $199, features 2.31 megapixel resolution, a 2x digital zoom and a 1.75-inch liquid-crystal display. The Photosmart 612 camera, which costs $299, has the same features plus a 2x optical zoom. The Photosmart 715 camera offers 3.3 megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom and a 46mm lens. The camera, which costs $499, ships with a 16MB CompactFlash memory card that can store more than 150 photos.

The new printers include the $179 Photosmart 100 photo printer, which measures 8.8 inches by 4.3 inches and weighs less than 3 pounds. People can print 4-by-6-inch photos directly from CompactFlash, SmartMedia and Sony Memory Stick memory cards without the need of a PC. --Natalie Weinstein, Special to ZDNet News
