Huawei offers HD videoconferencing to India SMBs

Summary:Huawei TE30 is touted as the world's first all-in-one HD videoconferencing system. Its India outlet ties up with an HCL Infosystems company to distribute the device across the country.

Huawei Videoconferencing HD Endpoint TE30

Huawei India has launched what it is touting to be the world's first all-in-one HD videoconferencing system, TE30. The handset maker also announced a partnership with Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HCL Infosystems, to distribute the TE30 across India.

Small and midsize businesses (SMBs) in India increasingly are investing in videoconferencing tools, as these businesses expand across geographies, in a bid to save on travel and ancillary costs associated with face-to-face meetings. These products also don't add strain to the SMBs' already limited IT infrastructure or resources.

Sonia Ahluwalia, the company's head of South Region for enterprise business in India, said: "Huawei's unified communication solutions provide seamless collaboration experience across geographies and space, and help to build unified and efficient teams. TE30 is a testimony to Huawei's promise of being a perfect partner for the growing business."

The TE30 features an integrated design with the camera, microphone, and codec eliminating the need for complicated cables. Additionally, the microphone array and control pad can connect to the endpoint via Wi-Fi.

The TE30 supports voice-dialing so users can say the name of the conference site they want to connect, and the device will recognize the command and call the site.

While the product delivers a great audio-visual experience with 1080p HD video, 720p dual-stream, and AAC-LD audio, it is able to deliver such experience even when the network quality is poor or the bandwidth is strained, Huawei said.

Another market player, Avaya, also recently launched  its Video Collaboration Solution for IP Office , marketed as a simple, affordable yet comprehensive desktop, mobile, and HD room-system video collaboration tool, designed specifically for SMBs.
