The Magellanic Penguin is being forced to work harder to survive. That is threatening the birds' ability to gather food and raise young. An American researcher found three human-caused factors are making the birds' survival problematic. Our energy policies which require shipping oil around the globe and the inevitable leaks and spills. Our over-fishing which takes food out of the birds' mouths.
