IBM acquires OpenPages for compliance, risk management software

IBM on Wednesday picked up OpenPages, a privately held software company focused on enterprise compliance and risk management.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

IBM said in a statement it will take OpenPages technology and integrate it with its business analytics lineup. OpenPages focuses on compliance and risk management planning and evaluates financial controls, IT risk, compliance and audits to help managers see around corners for potential pitfalls.

OpenPages has more than 200 customers ranging from Barclays to Duke Energy to TIAA Cref. Here's a look at the OpenPages platform.
