IBM's FailSafe alliance in Net hosting

Technology utility firm FailSafe Corporation (Singapore) Pte Ltd yesterday announced its appointment as the first Asean partner in IBM’s Hosting Advantage program.

SINGAPORE--Technology utility firm FailSafe Corporation (Singapore) Pte Ltd yesterday announced its appointment as the first Asean partner in IBM’s Hosting Advantage program.

The program is aimed at helping Internet companies establish their online businesses on secure and reliable hosting platforms. Prospective Hosting Advantage partners such as Web hosting firms and Internet data centers have to answer a self-assessment survey and pass an on-site review process before they qualify for the scheme.

According to FailSafe’s press statement, the alliance between the two companies is mutually beneficial as it seeks to leverage on each company’s respective strengths--FailSafe by capitalizing on IBM’s global presence and expertise in its local and regional expansion plans, while IBM has gained a hosting partner able to provide the requisite infrastructure and managed Web solutions for its customers.

FailSafe is now nearing completion of its second facility in Singapore.
