IDG scraps Computer Expo
IDG Media has said it is calling off the Computer Expo '96 exhibition that it was organising with Precision Events. The show had been scheduled for November 28-December 1 this year at the Olympia centre in London.
The company said the decision had been made as part of a strategic decision to focus on publishing. IDG's best known UK magazine is PC Advisor.
"All I'm saying is that IDG has gone through an internal reorganisation and has basically decided to stick to their core business. You can read into that what you like," said a spokesman for Precision Events.
He added that the show was aimed at a market "inbetween Computer Shopper and the old Which? Computer".
