Warning, this post is strictly for fun. There's a new stat for all you solar addicts out there: If solar energy installations grew at the rate of new Facebook citizens, the capacity could power the entire state of Vermont within just 15 days. Within 14 months, all of California would go solar. You can see the entire thought-provoking graphic over on the One Block Off the Grid Web site. Of course, the uptick of solar is much slower than Facebook adoption, but it is equally viral: apparently, if your neighbor installs solar power, you are 222 percent more likely to do so yourself.
