In new video, HP turns printing into a reflection on life

Summary:A new ad spot by HP brings color business printing to life.

Hewlett Packard likes to say that its Photosmart printers can bring your work to life, and for the most part, that's true -- after all, nothing says "life" like a full-bleed color photo of your spouse and kids.

(Nothing says "life" like a "replace ink cartridge" prompt, either.)

But in a new video, the company uses stop-action animation and printed office reports to, well, tell a story. It's an immense waste of ink and paper, but it's an awfully touching little clip.

The short film is the work of animators Matt Robinson and Tom Wrigglesworth.
