InfiniBand musters up $12 million

Lane15 Software, a company whose software lets administrators control devices joined on an InfiniBand high-speed network, has raised $12 million in a new round of funding, the company said Monday. New investors in the Austin, Texas-based company are Index Ventures, Quanta Computer and Convergent Investors.

New investors in the Austin, Texas-based company are Index Ventures, Quanta Computer and Convergent Investors.

Earlier investors, including Intel, Dell Computer, AV Labs, Austin Ventures and Lightspeed Ventures, also participated in the funding round, the company said. In addition, Index Ventures partner Bernard Dalle and Austin Ventures general partner John Thornton have joined Lane15's board. --Stephen Shankland, Special to ZDNet News
