Infor buys PeopleAnswers, eyes analytics for HCM

Summary:PeopleAnswers will bring science and behavioral analytics to Infor's human capital management suite.

Infor said on Wednesday that it has acquired PeopleAnswers, a cloud service that analyzes job candidates and their behavioral traits.

Specifically, PeopleAnswers analyzes 39 traits of job applicants and creates a fit rating. Customers include Hertz, Neiman Marcus and The Cheesecake Factory. The general idea behind PeopleAnswers is to cut down on bad hires.

For Infor, the plan is to integrate PeopleAnswers into its human capital management suite.

In a statement, Infor CEO Charles Phillips said the acquisition will "add a cadre of scientists to move beyond simply automating processes to push the envelope on big data and HCM innovation."

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
