Innpu unveils 'wired phone' with retractable headphones

Innpu has debuted what they call the world's first "wired phones," which include built-in retractable headphones.

For those of you who are always losing your headphones or they get tangled up in your bag, soon you'll be able to get a mobile device with headphones that are always attached and kept in line.

Innpu has debuted what they call the world's first "wired phones," which include built-in retractable headphones.

Using the handheld's special headphones seems simple enough. When someone calls, the user just pulls out the headphones and microphone, and the set automatically retracts when the call is completed.

The primary reason for being behind this device is to reduce the amount of radiation around the head if the user is only listening via headphones. Although even Innpu admits that the subject of mobile phone radiation is still "controversial" at the moment.

No release date has been specified more than "soon," and there's no word on pricing either. But as this technology took five years to develop and Innpu describes it as "technology can hardly be copied," it's probably going to launch with a ridiculous price tag.
