in brief UXC subsidiary Integ has acquired Western Australia-based Icon Communications, in a move consolidating players in the local enterprise communications integration market.
According to a statement issued by Integ this morning, the move will more than double Integ's business in the state. Both companies have strong relationships with telephony vendor Alcatel and call centre specialist Genesys.
Icon Communications is a division of Icon Office Technology and was established in 2000. Icon's current communications manager Chris Upstone will now head up Integ's operations in Western Australia, and all "professional" staff will be retained.

Icon has customers in the small to medium and large enterprise markets. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
