Over the weekend Intel dealt AMD another blow by cutting the prices of the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors.

This latest round of price cuts make the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors even better value compared to AMD processors.  The Core 2 Quad Q6600 sees a price slash of 38% and is now down to $530.  The mainstream Core 2 Duo range also sees some very generous price cuts.  The 2.66GHz E6700, the fasted Core 2 Duo processor, sees a 40% price cut to $316 while the E6600 and E6400 saw prices cut by 29% and now cost $224 and $183 respectively.  The E6300 has seen a price cut of 11% to $163 while the E4300 has been cut by 31% and now costs $113.

There have also been other cuts, most significantly to the Pentium D range.  The 3.2GHz 935 has seen a 37% price cut and now costs $84 while the 925, 915 and 820 all now cost $74.
