Based in a former Christian Science Temple, the San Francisco based Internet Archive collects and protects an unreplaceable treasure -- 20 years of recording petabytes of world wide web pages -- humanity's largest ever collaborative creation, documenting an emergent culture that is utterly unique in its scale and ambition.

In this video Brewster Kahle, founder of the Internet Archive, makes a call for preserving the open protocols of the Internet. He also demonstrates how the Internet Archive is far from passive and is extremely relevant in reporting on today's presidential race.
