Investor PM: Tech stocks spark Nasdaq

Technology stocks staged an inspired rally Thursday ahead of the November employment figures as the Nasdaq composite roared up 99 points to a record high of 3,452.76. The Dow Jones industrial average picked up 41 points to 11,039.06. Analysts said fears that interest rates may rise were alleviated somewhat by Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President William Poole, who said a rise in wages is not worrisome as long as it is being offset by increased productivity.
