Apple iOS developers and fans, you won't want to miss this.

The first iOS-centric hackathon is set to be held in Singapore, commencing bright and early at 9am on Jun. 16, ending with final demos at 10.30am on Jun. 17, according to event organizer iOS Dev Scout (iDS).

The non-profit developer event will run "unconference" or "Barcamp-style', showcasing content from the participants themselves, iDS said.

At the iOS Dev Scout – Hackathon 2012, participants will pitch ideas, form teams, and build a working prototype or application within 24 hours. Potential investors and mentors will be invited to attend the event including the final demos. Participants can also reach out to these investors and mentors at the event, or post-event, for advice on finetuning their ideas.

No registration fee is required, but interested participants will need to sign up before the allocated 50 seats are filled on a first-come first-serve basis.

The hackathon's sponsors include Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority and other iOS startups such as Quantum Inventions and Cloudy Rec.
