Is 140 characters the new container for ideas and under 120 if you want to go viral (so others can retweet)?

Twitter is a very interesting phenomenon. It's interesting because it only allows 140 characters. And it's interesting in the reaction and criticism it gathers.

A popular critique of Twitter is that 140 characters is far too little space to communicate anything worthwhile. But I think this is a bad critique. Because if you can communicate within that format you will be a better communicator.

But that not an easy thing to do and that's what makes Twitter so interesting.
