Jesse Ventura mulls games as political promos

The reelection committee for Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura is considering using games in his upcoming campaign, according to a report on Foxnews.com. The downloadable and CD-ROM games will feature the former World Wrestling Federation star while promoting his political accomplishments and criticizing his opponents. The games, which would be distributed free to voters, may not be permissible under a Minnesota law that prohibits campaigns giving gifts to voters. Ventura has not officially said whether or not he will run for reelection, but he wants to be prepared if he does decide to run. If he does use games in his campaign for reelection, it would be one of the first times games have been used to promote a political candidate. --Trey Walker, GameSpot PC
