Jetstar offers PayPal payment first

Adrian Christie, spokesperson for PayPal, revealed to ZDNet Australia that the deal with Jetstar will be available within a few weeks.

PayPal is an online payment solution for businesses, which allows customers the ability to securely pay for services by credit or debit card or even direct deposit without revealing their financial information.

PayPal has 3.6 million Australian users, a customer base Jetstar hopes to tap into.

Jetstar chief commercial officer David Koczkar said the airline is always looking for "greater choice and convenience to air travellers when purchasing their flights online".

The airline currently allows its customers to purchase flights via credit card or direct deposit.
