KeyFolio Thin X3: Keyboard for iPad Air that charges your smartphone
Accessory maker Kensington has introduced a portfolio with a keyboard for the iPad Air that is packed with functionality. The KeyFolio Thin X3 is a protective folio-style case with a keyboard that turns the iPad Air into a full work system. It can also step in and serve as a mobile charger for a smartphone.
The folks at Kensington set out to design a thin portfolio with a full keyboard for the iPad Air that is packed with features. Open up the KeyFolio Thin X3 and set the iPad Air into the groove for typing and the keyboard with six rows of keys automatically turns on. Need to use the iPad Air without the keyboard? Just fold the tablet over the keyboard and use it as a tablet.
Using the X3 and realize your smartphone battery is dying? Plug the phone into the side of the KeyFolio Thin X3 and charge it using the internal battery of the keyboard case. This is a first for a mobile keyboard for the iPad Air and a perfect solution for the business traveler on those long travel days.

The Kensington KeyFolio Thin X3 is available for preorder from the company for $99.99. We are currently testing it at ZDNet and will have a full review shortly.
The new Thin line of cases includes two X2 models that are similar to the X3 without the phone charging functions. The X2 Plus has a backlit keyboard ($99.99) and the X2 without the backlighting ($89.99).
