Lastminute voted 'worst' UK travel site

Who says there's no such thing as bad publicity?
Written by Matthew Broersma, Contributor

Lastminute.com has received the dubious honour of being voted "worst" UK travel site, in a poll of 6,000 readers of the Daily Telegraph. Expedia.co.uk, a Microsoft operation, was the readers' favourite.

Lastminute became a darling of the UK startup scene last year, largely because of the high profile of its cofounders, Martha Lane Fox and Brent Hoberman. But its visibility has also singled it out for criticism, for example over the controversial handling of its flotation last year.

All of the readers who responded said they had booked at least part of a holiday online. The responses were analysed by market research group NOP.
