Screenshots of a new app from Facebook called Pages Manager have leaked. This is the third standalone app from Facebook, after the main Facebook app and the Facebook Messenger app.

Facebook is apparently getting ready to launch a new iPhone/iOS (and Android? and BlackBerry?) app called Pages Manager. It is described as follows: "A new app from Facebook to help you keep up with your Page and connect with your audience in one place."

Pages Manager is supposedly available right now in New Zealand, and will be out in the U.S. soon, according to 9to5Mac, which got its hands on early screenshots. The app appears to function just like the main Facebook app, but with additional features specifically dedicated for Facebook Pages, such as Insights (Reach, Engaged Users, People Talking About This, and probably more), as well as other ways for tracking analytics data.

I have been unable to find a direct download link on neither the Apple App Store nor the Google Play store for Pages Manager. Then again, I'm in Canada, not New Zealand, a popular Facebook choice for testing something before a broader rollout as well as for features that are just being tested and I hope never see the light of day. If you live in the latter, let me know if you can find the app in question.

Documentation about this app also appears to be nonexistent. This Facebook Help Center webpage, for example, has yet to be updated: Using Your Page on Mobile.

If and when Pages Manager is released, it will be third standalone app from Facebook. The first is obviously the main Facebook app. The second is Facebook Messenger, which is available for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows, has been confirmed for Mac, and is rumored to be coming for the iPad. Pages Manager will likely be mobile only, as it doesn't make sense to have it for desktop operating systems.

I have contacted Facebook for more information and will update you if I hear back.

Update at 2:30 PM PST - "We're testing an app that helps owners of small to medium Pages more easily manage their Facebook presence," a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement. I've asked for more details.

Update at 3:00 PM PST - Here's the New Zealand link: Apple App Store.

Here's the corresponding description:

Pages Manager helps admins connect with their audience and keep up with activity on multiple Pages, all in one place.

Features: - Post new updates and photos as your Page - Get notified about new activity on your Page when it happens, no matter where you are - Respond, post and comment as your Page while you're on-the-go - Manage all your Facebook Pages from one app - View your latest Page Insights

Just install Pages Manager and then log in using Facebook to quickly access and manage all of your Pages from wherever you are.

Oh, and turns out it is available in Canada: Apple App Store.
