Do you want to learn podcasting? Do you have something valuable to say to the world? Do you think that you can make money in this unusual edge of the entertainment business? If so, you're in for a treat. I had the pleasure of interviewing two of the most successful podcasters since the dawn of podcasting in the early to mid-2000s.
Keith Malley and Chemda are professional, full-time podcasters. Who better to learn professional podcasting from than those who do it for their jobs than real podcasters? They've sucessfully run their own podcast show, Keith and The Girl, for nine years. In their new book, The Ultimate Podcasting Guide, you can find out how to create a great podcast, how to equip yourself, how to market and monetize your podcast, and how to build your audience.
In our 26-minute, 50-second podcast interview, Keith and Chemda explain how they started in podcasting, some important steering points for your own show, and the all-important question of monetization through ads, sponsorships, and, believe it or not, donations.

Just as a point of reference for you wannabe podcasters or currently engaged podcasters, I've been podcasting for five or six years myself but have never been able to take my shows to the level that Keith and Chemda have. I've already gleaned some tips from them during the podcast and from their book for my own shows. I hope to implement them within the next couple of months as time allows.
The book covers every aspect of podcasting from planning your show to how to get interviews to naming your show. No podcast related question goes unanswered in their book. I tried to find gaps in it and couldn't.
In fact, I jokingly made the comment that because this is the "ultimate" podcasting guide, no one else ever needs to write another book on podcasting. What started as a joke might well be fact. A lot of successful podcasters owe their successes to Keith and Chemda who blazed the trail for the rest of us to follow. If you think I'm kidding about that, read the book to see the number of now-successful podcasters who thank them for their guidance and mentoring.
Once again, I want to thank Keith and Chemda for being guests on my Frugal Networker show. In the near future, I'll post a full review of their book, The Ultimate Podcasting Guide, in case you're still not convinced that it is, in fact, the ultimate podcasting guide.
