Lenovo debuts ThinkPad X201 and W701 series laptops with Core i5, i7

Lenovo has announced a slew of new ThinkPad ultraportable workstations, equipped with Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, most of which come with a lot of configurable options to the buyer's liking.

Lenovo has announced a slew of new ThinkPad portable workstations, equipped with Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, most of which come with a lot of configurable options to the buyer's liking.

Lenovo's new ThinkPad models are broken down into the X201 and W701 laptop lines. The X201 and X201s both come with 12.1-inch displays and options for either Core i5 or i7 processors. They're priced at $1,199 and $1,599, respectively.

The X201t (that's "t" for tablet) spices things up a bit with a rotating screen. It's powered by a Intel Core i7 processor and comes with a hard drive up to 320GB. It will retail for $1,549.

Meanwhile, the W701 and W701ds (pictured) are both 17-inch notebooks, with either Intel Core i7-920 Extreme and Core i7-820 QM Quad Core processors and the option for either NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M or 3800M graphics. Both are equipped with a Wacom digitizer and a 2.1-megapixel built-in webcam.

Weighing in at a whopping nine pounds, the W701ds also boasts a dual-display set-up, although the second screen only measures 10.6-inches. They're priced at $2,199 and $3,799, respectively.
