Lenovo is the No.1 PC maker in the Asia-Pacific region, and the world's fourth largest.

In the latest quarter that ended Sep. 30, the Chinese PC maker garnered market share of 18.9 percent in the region.

Lenovo was the official computer equipment sponsor of the Beijing Olympic Games held in August this year, and also designed the 2008 Olympic torch. It also has other sport sponsorships, including the United States' National Basketball Association (NBA) and Formula One team WilliamsF1.

Formerly known as Legend, the Chinese giant sells a range of products including PCs, servers, cell phones and electronic goods. It is incorporated in Hong Kong, with headquarters in Beijing, China, and Morrisville, North Carolina in the United States.

The PC maker has a workforce of approximately 23,200 employees around the world.

Lenovo ranks among ZDNet Asia's Top 10 fastest-growing companies for 2008/2009.
