Hey, remember the Lenovo LePad tablet that was first unveiled all the way back in January 2010? Now it might actually start shipping!

Well, later this year anyway. PCWorld reports that the LePad will first launch in China this March, followed by a worldwide release in June. Pricing is expected to be between $399 and $449.

Last summer, the Android 2.2-based LePad was expected to start shipping by the end of 2010, and even in September signs pointed towards a December debut.

No reason has been given as to why the 10.1-inch slate was delayed, but one has to wonder if it is too late for the LePad to even make a dent in the tablet market. With the Honeycomb-powered Motorola Xoom, the LG G-Slate, the HTC Flyer and the HP TouchPad set for spring and summer releases, where would the LePad even fit in?
