With the latest installment of the Lexar Echo SE USB drive, you can now fit 128GB into your pocket. But it will certainly cost you dearly.

Compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows systems, a drive such as this is recommended for backing up your computer rather than just the simple transfer of files. For that purpose, you can expect read and write speeds up to 28MB/s and 10MB/s respectively. And since such a little storage device could get lost so easily, you can opt for 128-bit AES encryption for some extra security.

Available now, the Echo SE 128GB-capacity USB drive will cost you a lot: $499.99. It's amazing how something so small can cost so much. If that's just a bit too much for you, you can opt for one of the previously available, smaller capacities (8GB/16GB/32GB). Or you could just carry around a much cheaper, larger capacity but slightly bigger portable hard drive.
