Following the unveiling of the Optimus 3D yesterday, LG is pushing further to bring the 3D experience to more mobile devices with the help of YouTube.

The two powers are collaborating to "enable the delivery and sharing of 3D video onto mobile devices in a way that makes it simple and easy for consumers."

Basically, that means users can shoot and view 3D clips using the Optimus 3D (and future similar handhelds if this one does well), and then upload them instantly to YouTube's 3D channel.

That's nice and all, but how much does one really need a 3D smartphone? It might be nice for videos and photos, and potentially for gaming if enough decent apps are made for this device.
