OLED lovers, get ready to open your wallets. The long-awaited 15-inch OLED HDTV from LG, the EL9500, has had its arrival date to reach these shores confirmed as the middle of this year. It's been available in LG's native South Korea since late last year, but according to LG staff at the ISE-2010 conference, it's slated to be available here within a matter of months.

While 15 inches is probably the size of the last CRT monitor for your Windows 95 desktop, it's a jump from the 11-inch Sony XEL-1 that's been available for a couple of years. It's now big enough to display 720p HD, and with Sony not planning to release any new OLED sets in 2010, this is as good as it gets for now. As you may know already, the XEL-1 went on sale for $2,500, so you can expect similar pricing for the EL9500 if you're deep pocketed enough to consider buying it.
