Microsoft, watch out: the laptop accessory market is heating up. Er, cooling down, that is.

Logitech today introduced its Cooling Pad N100 and Notebook Riser N110, which are intended to make your laptop experience a bit cooler, so to speak.

According to the company's research, more than 60 percent of people surveyed reported using their laptops on the couch, and more than 50 percent of them are concerned about laptop heat. Forty-three percent believe that excessive laptop heat can slow, or damage, their computer. And of the more than 64 percent that use their laptop on a desk, 41 percent report concerns about how this affects their posture.

Enter Logitech's Cooling Pad N100 and Notebook Riser N110. The Cooling Pad N100 improves airflow around your laptop with a slotted surface and a USB-powered fan to drive heat away from your lap via a rear air intake. The device includes a low power-consumption USB cable.

As for Logitech's Notebook Riser N110, the device features an ergonomically designed riser that elevates your notebook display to an optimal viewing position. It can be used with an external keyboard and mouse and features an adjustable tilt (20-, 30- and 40-degree angles) and a rubber-soled swivel base. The N110 flips open and folds flat.

The Logitech Cooling Pad N100 is expected to be available in the U.S. in March and Europe in April for a suggested retail price of $29.99 (U.S.). The Notebook Riser N110 is expected to be available in the U.S. in May for a suggested retail price of $29.99 (U.S.).
