Logitech Revue named as Google TV companion; to launch this fall

Logitech has finally gotten official with the naming of its Google TV companion box, which will be named the Logitech Revue.

The vintage name of the Revue set-top box is inspired by "multi-act theatrical entertainment" from the early 20th century. So now this 21st century innovation will be bringing Google TV entertainment to HDTVs via HDMI very soon. Basically, anything Google should be available on your TV screen with this box, including apps, video calling and cable/satellite content.

To further control your life, this Logitech/Google creation will be able to communicate with your smartphone through Logitech's Harmony Link, turning your Android or iPhone OS-based handheld into a remote control.

Unfortunately, those are the details available for now. More notes of interest should be announced in the coming months as this box should be ready to be turned on in homes this fall.
