Lori Drew arraigned today
Lori Drew, the psycho mom who set up a fake MySpace identity to toy with a teenage neighbor, is being arraigned on federal charges in Los Angeles today. She's charged with accessing protected computers without authorization and conspiracy.
After the fictional Josh Evans told 13-year-old Megan Meier that "the world would be a better place" without her, the teenager hung herself in her bedroom.
In announcing the charges last month, U.S. Attorney Thomas O’Brien said, “It’s clearly a tragic case”
“We think Ms. Drew’s actions resulted in the death of a child.” “Any adult who uses the Internet or a social gathering website to bully or harass another person, particularly a young teenage girl, needs to realize that their actions can have serious consequences,” O’Brien said.
