LouisianaRebuilds.info is a new site aimed to becoming a one-stop portal to help hurricane victims get jobs, file claims, find housing and get social services. It was created by the Louisiana Recovery Authority with help from investor collaborative Living Cities, nonprofit orgs OneEconomy Corp. and PolicyLink.

In a press release, Gov. Kathleen Blanco, said: "We are excited and proud to be part of this effort." "The thousands of Louisiana residents who have been uprooted need a reliable, secure, and accessible source for information to help them make important decisions about their futures. LouisianaRebuilds.info is that source."

One component of the new portal is the state’s new comprehensive housing registry application, “The Road Home.” The registry contains only information on storm-damaged homes that were occupied by homeowners. Registrants will need to provide data about themselves, their property and other pertinent information.
