Mandriva Saved by New Investor(s)

If you have been paying sufficiently close attention you might have noticed strange things going on at Mandriva. The 2010.1 (Spring) release has not come out, and the planned release date has actually disappeared from their development schedule. There were also some rumblings about the company being for sale, and I'm sure a lot of people remember the talk about financial problems when Mandriva let Adam Williamson go a year or so ago (which, I'm pleased to see, seems to have worked out very well for Adam).

Now, as reported in english at the O'Reilly Community, and more thoroughly in french at LeMagIT, some as-yet unnamed investors have apparently saved the day.

I hope this all works out well, because I would hate to see what I consider one of the better Linux distributions disappear.
