Microsoft releases more Ultimate Extras - Search parties are out looking for the "Wow!"
Yesterday I got word that Microsoft was releasing some more Ultimate Extras for Windows Ultimate users. Even without opening the email I just knew that these new extras would fall into one of two categories:
- Disappointing
- Mega-disappointing
I wasn't wrong. They fall squarely into the latter category.
Here's what's new on offer:
- A new Windows Vista Sound Schemes
- A third Windows DreamScene Content Pack
- Updated language packs
For those of you keeping count, here's the complete Windows Ultimate Extras lineup:
- Windows DreamScene
- Language Packs
- BitLocker and EFS Enhancements
- Hold 'Em Poker Game
- Windows Sound Schemes
Mega-disappointing.

So by the end of the year I can expect a few more sound schemes and some more cycle-sucking desktop videos (I knew there was a reason I bought a quad-core CPU).
