Tough on Cisco, tough on the causes of Cisco...

Tough on Cisco, tough on the causes of Cisco...

Mitel and HP will collaborate on business sales in a bid to extend their reach in the converged network market. Mitel has traditionally made voice equipment such as telephones and private branch exchanges (PBXs), while HP makes switching equipment for data networks. The two markets are slowly converging and by selling together the two companies hope to match the voice and data IP networking products of other converged vendors, such as Cisco. Gijs Zantvoort, European sales and support programme manager HP EMEA, said: "It's not a formal partnership, but we are co-operating with Mitel. They will get access to our sales channel and we get access to theirs. It gives us both a bigger reseller footprint."
