Mobile supply chain software provider Elementum snares $44M in funding

Summary:The enterprise software startup garnered another chunk of change to build out its cloud-based supply chain management service for mobile devices.


Elementum, a Mountain View, Calif.-based startup announced it has raised another $44 million in Series B funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Flextronics.

The company's cloud-based service combines big data and analytics to track shipping information, costs and other data in real-time for mobile workers.

Thus far, the company has raised more than $60 million in funding.

"With shorter product lifecycles and instant customer feedback becoming the new norm, companies need to respond to changes faster than ever," the company said in press release announcing the cash infusion.

Along with Dyson and Enphase Energy, Elementum serves customers in the automotive, health care, industrial and technology sectors.
