Motorola Defy spotted with upcoming Froyo update, Flash

This is the 'About Phone' screen on a Motorola Defy that I found on a stand at Mobile World Congress, in the Android developer zone. As you can see, it shows the handset is running on version 2.2 of Google's operating system.

We already knew an update to 2.2, or Froyo, was coming sometime in the second quarter of this year, but this shows it's pretty much ready. I couldn't get any information on why it hasn't been rolled out yet.

Oh, and yes, it has Flash 10.1 onboard — this wasn't a given as the Defy has an 800MHz processor, and most full-Flash-capable Android handsets have 1GHz chips.

So come on, Motorola — speaking as a Defy user, I'd like this deployed pronto!
