I've been keeping an eye on the Firefox 3.0 usage information coming out of Net Applications over the past week and since we're now T+7 days on from Download Day, it's a good time to take a look at the state of play.

Net Applications has separated the usage data in Europe, North America and overall usage. Here's a chart of the data with trend lines added:

Here's some conclusions we can draw from this week's worth of data:

  • Usage is stronger in Europe than North America (average usage in North America is 3.4% while in Europe it stands at 5.7%)
  • That said, a trend line based on the data shows that growth has stalled in Europe.
  • Data for North America is showing quite good growth.

It'll be interesting to see Net Applications data for June once it's released. Data for May 08 showed Firefox 3.0 commanding a 0.62% market share, while Firefox 2.0 held a healthy market share of 17.17%.
