Mr. T rides shotgun

Isn't it good to live in the computer age?
Written by John Carroll, Contributor

This isn't the most elaborate blog post I've ever made, but according to this article on MSNBC, a GPS car navigation system developed by Wanderlust Media in Los Angeles is offering downloadable voices instead of the standard generic one that usually ships with the device.  Besides "character" voices like "surfer dude" or "cowboy," celebrity voices from the likes of Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper...and Mr. T will also be available.

It's days like this that make me glad to live in the computer age.  Seriously, this is an amazingly good idea, and seems such a simple addition to a GPS navigation system.  Is it useful?  Not hardly...but it sure is fun.
