MWC 09: Documents To Go and RoadSync demoed on T-Mobile G1

I posted about the Quickoffice viewer for the Google Android G1 device and was disappointed that it is currently only a viewer application. Dieter had a chance to swing by the DataViz booth and saw Docs To Go and RoadSync on the Google Android platform demoed. Documents To Go has editing for Word and Excel documents and is targeted for release in March.

Their RoadSync client looks to provide you with Exchange email and contacts support on the G1. A separate email client is provided with support for attachments if you have Documents To Go installed. I didn't read anything in the article about Calendar support and I personally need Calendar and email support more than Contacts support via Exchange.

As I mentioned a few times before TouchDown is a very good Exchange application that gets better every week with regular updates and I may be sticking with it for the time being. Then again, DataViz makes some excellent applications so I will give their RoadSync client a try when it is released.
