The bank's telephone and online portals suffered issues with log-in credentials, starting at approximately 9:40am AEDST this morning.

The bank told ZDNet Australia that while its telephone banking systems had been restored to full service, its internet banking portal had crashed nationwide.

"We're working as quickly as possible to restore service," NAB said in a statement.

NAB took to its Twitter account to inform its customers shortly after 11am AEDST.

This latest technical stumble comes months after a catastrophic system crash that left customers cashless and skewed the transaction records of millions of accounts.
