National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co) has called for comment on its draft business-to-business (B2B) industry integration specifications for connecting access seekers to the National Broadband Network (NBN), released on the company's website late on Friday.
The draft documents outline technical specifications and architecture for the B2B gateway to connect the systems of access seekers such as internet services providers to the NBN for the provision services on to their customers, while ensuring transaction facilities such as billing are functioning correctly.
NBN Co said that the draft specifications had been developed in alignment with the B2B Interactions Process Requirements Specification laid out by the Communications Alliance.
"An important NBN Co goal is to provide seamless and non-discriminatory integration with Access Seeker systems to achieve a global best practice wholesale service experience," the company stated in the document.
NBN Co said the release of the documents will allow potential access seekers to start impact assessments and design work to prepare for integrating their systems with the NBN.
The company is accepting comments on the documents until 25 February 2011.
