Planning and scheduling software specialist Quintiq has been picked by NBN Co to provide workforce optimisation software. Quintiq secured the Roster Time and Attendance (RTA) contract through a tender process.
The RTA contract is part of a multimillion-dollar agreement for advance planning and scheduling software. NBN Co confirmed Quintiq is its sole provider of workforce optimisation software, and was selected because it was best suited to the company's requirements.
NBN Co will use the vendor's products for rostering, time and attendance, and activity-based costing. The software also automates payroll preparation process specifically into the Frontier Chrispay Payroll system, and can integrate with Orace E-Business Suite.
"We are pleased to be working with Quintiq," NBN Co CIO Claire Rawlins said in a statement. "Implementing software and systems that allow us to make cost-effective decisions about workforce management is an important part of our commitment to operate as efficiently as we can."
The software rollout will occur in stages, and an employee self-service portal will be established.
"The Quintiq software will adapt to NBN Co's current and future technology footprint," the vendor said in a statement.
Quintiq set up shop in Australia in 2008. The company is headquartered in the Netherlands and the US.
